Mama, You are Called, Anointed and Needed.
My story is a little different, but maybe you can relate in some small way. For the longest time, I did not feel I was made to be the mothering type. It was a lie embedded in my heart and mind. It impacted my perception of motherhood and what my role would look like. I had convinced myself that my calling was elsewhere and that if and when I made mistakes it was because I was not called to, anointed for, or needed as a mother.
I did not start to see the full impact of these lies until I was knee-deep in diapers, postpartum depression had run its course and smeared me with shame and guilt. I unknowingly threw myself into finding fulfillment in other things. Choices I wish I could change, many stories and lessons learned for another day, and as much as I loved our boys, I simply was not living to the fullness of who God created me to be.
My story did not change overnight, it took years of the Lord gently breaking down lies, truth being spoken over my life by the incredible woman God brought into life and eventually yielding to what God’s word over my life was. My identity was attached to the things I did, my giftings, and my accomplishments. Recognizing that my identity comes from Christ alone and being a daughter of the Most High God is powerful and transformative. I can not go back and change the choices I made and I choose not to live with shame or guilt because of them. Through God’s patience and grace, the truth has sunk deeply into my heart, mind, and soul that I was created to be a daughter of God first, but so intricately and powerfully also a mother.
I am a Mother who is CALLED by God, ANOINTED to mother, and NEEDED in this hour as a Mama.
And so are YOU!
You were born for such a time as this. We are living in historic times where the roles of mothers and fathers are needed more than ever. Not just to be present and provide, but to be present with the Lord and provide a safe space in your home to teach, train, speak the truth, and equip your child to be a lover of Jesus, others-minded, honoring, respectful and so much more.
You are called, anointed, and needed!
Whether spiritual, biological, or both, you are called, anointed, and needed in this hour.
You are Called.
You are called by God to be a mother. It is time to walk in the fullness of who Christ calls you, chosen, and royalty proclaiming His name.
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

You are Anointed.
You are anointed by God to be a mother. It is time to press into deeper intimacy with Jesus and as you lock eyes with Him to walk and speak boldly.
“And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us.”
- 2 Corinthians 1:21
You are Needed.
You are needed by God to be a mother. It is time to step out boldly into the places and spaces of influence God has opened for you and walk in the gifts the Lord has given you.
“Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
- Matthew 9:37-38
Mama, I pray you are encouraged and emboldened to walk more upright, with a little more pep in your step and fire in your belly.
